Castle: Natural draws its character from the traditional practices of the 17th and 18th centuries, when freshly sawn French oak slabs were laid directly onto joists and left to settle over time. As the timber slowly dried from its original green state, each board expanded, contracted and shifted in place, creating the gentle undulations and subtle irregularities that defined historic European floors. Decades of gradual movement shaped surfaces with quiet depth, producing a natural elegance that could only emerge through time.

The Castle Collection draws its character from the quiet grandeur of centuries-old European floors, where each plank carries the impression of those who walked before. These designs echo the softened undulations, shifting widths and gentle irregularities that define truly historic interiors. Colour, texture and natural luminance work in layers, giving each floor a depth and presence that feels both stately and intimately worn.

Handcrafted in Cheshire

Hand-crafted in Cheshire, every board is shaped through a process that honours traditional methods while refining them for modern interiors. Planks are air-dried for a minimum of three months, then kiln-dried at precise temperatures to encourage the subtle surface movement that distinguishes the collection. Hairline cracks, select knots, and occasional soft band-saw marks appear sparingly, enhancing the sense of age without compromising functionality. The defining feature—its graceful surface undulation—creates a floor with a lived history, ready to bring depth, warmth and a touch of grandeur to contemporary spaces.
