In the heart of Mayfair, Gabriela Hearst’s London flagship — designed by Foster + Partners — pairs contemporary restraint with a sense of lasting craft. To ground the space, we supplied 100 m² of reclaimed English oak in herringbone, salvaged from an officer’s mess in Shrewsbury and restored by hand. Its quiet patina, shaped by decades of prior use, brings a lived-in refinement beneath the crisp minimalism of the interior, allowing the textures, light and tailoring of the collection to sit on a floor with history in its grain.
