Malvern Hills, England
Three and a half hours from London, on the Welsh border, sits a vast barn conversion in the Malvern Hills — a country bolt-hole of serious scale. Years of poorly judged alterations had stripped the building of character: partitions, cheap glazing and stark floors dulled its historic bones. The new owners, relocating from London in search of a slower rhythm, turned to Emma Kirby Designs to re-plan and rebuild from within. Once the partitions were removed, the true volume of the structure returned — a space made for generous living and entertaining. We supplied and installed the antique floorboards, with our specialist fitters handling the material with the care demanded by timber of this provenance. The result is a home restored to its rightful grandeur.
