The colour remains subtle and organic, providing an understated backdrop that works effortlessly across both contemporary and classic interiors. Each board follows our Natural Modern process: the surface is gently cleaned and rubbed to open the grain before absorbing layered organic colouring compounds. This method enhances tonal consistency and reduces the sharp colour disparities sometimes found in faster commercial finishes. Georgian Bay delivers a calm, authentic aesthetic—balanced, natural and built for long-term durability, even in challenging environments.

The technical approach begins with gently cleaning and rubbing the oak surface, opening the pores to prepare the timber for deep absorption of our organic colouring formulas. Specialist patinas are built through layered applications of natural compounds, revealing depth, complexity and a sense of time that flat commercial washes cannot replicate. Slow production defines every step; when creating a sense of age and stillness, there is no shortcut.
