Made from European Mountain Oak grown slowly in high-altitude regions with minimal water, the timber develops a naturally tight grain and increased density, giving the colour a subtle depth and an elegant, grounded presence. Its palette is soft and modern, designed to complement interiors that favour a clean, authentic wood aesthetic.through a careful planing process that shapes the surface before colour is applied. This method creates gentle variations and a tactile dimension that flat machining cannot achieve. Knot formations deepen naturally, and the grain rises slightly where the wood meets the planer’s blade, producing a deliberate, organic texture reminiscent of “perfect imperfection.” Once layered with our organic colouring compounds, Soho reveals a natural, touchable patina—unpolished, honest and true to the character of the wood.

Handcrafted in Cheshire

The technical approach begins with gently cleaning and rubbing the oak surface, opening the pores to prepare the timber for deep absorption of our organic colouring formulas. Specialist patinas are built through layered applications of natural compounds, revealing depth, complexity and a sense of time that flat commercial washes cannot replicate. Slow production defines every step; when creating a sense of age and stillness, there is no shortcut.
